Why I chose the word Diatribe for this section

The word diatribe always makes me laugh when I hear it because my husband taught it to me. The reason it is funny. We were playing Scrabble one night and he put the word Diatribe on the board. I accused him of making up words and told him to come up with a different one. He insisted it was a word and I argued that it was not. He promptly reached for his Webster's Dictionary, that wasn't dusty at all like mine would have been, and looked up the word. He read the definition to me:

1. a bitter and abusive speech or piece of writing
2. ironic or satirical criticism
3. archaic a prolonged discourse (discourse definition is "formal and orderly and usually extended expression of thought on a subject").

So, it is no coincidence that I picked this word for this section of my website which can be pages of rants, raves, discourse, criticisms, outbursts, rages, chronicles and anything related to grief or my life.
